Introduction

Hello and welcome. Please call me Jane, or really anything you'd like, just not "dude". I am an Early College student, meaning I am attending my Freshman year of college while simultaneously earning the remaining credits for my high school diploma. Though, I attend only courses at the Community College of Vermont full time.

I identify as many things, a daughter, sister, student, etc., but most importantly I identify as a creator. Art and media have always spoken to me. I am ecstatic to be in the Multimedia Apps and Tools class to dive further into our ever-growing world of social media and platforms of creating and sharing. I am pursuing a career in the film industry, more specifically on-site film production. I am currently exploring the numerous roles within a film set that I could potentially take on. I am seriously considering cinematography. Not just because I had the opportunity to ride on a camera dolly (you get pushed around on a platform with a camera which is on miniature tracks-and it is freaking AWESOME). I have interned as a set photographer for a PBS documentary and a History Channel documentary. I have taken multiple courses in photography, digital and analog (heck yeah In-Sight!), as well as television production, and digital filmmaking and editing. I know I still have much to learn and things to experience, so thank you for joining me.

  1. You said you're an early college student, what high school do you go to? Did you go to school with the other early college student in our class?

    1. I attended Brattleboro Union High, so I did not go to school with Aiden. Early College is available to all upcoming high school seniors in Vermont.

  2. It sounds like you are heading for a career in exactly what you love. It is said if you do what you love it never feels like work. Looking forward to this semester.
